To improve their writing skills students will learn how to vary sentence structure, compose paragraphs effectively, improve logic flow, and develop effective conclusions as well as introductions. Vocabulary building for writing is emphasized. Students in this class are required to dedicate time to reading, especially to non-fiction passages. Students will practice comparing and contrasting texts. Students will learn how to make inferences, read context clues, and read to learn information. We provide teaching and encourage students for reading and write about various stories.
